What is OpenPDroid?
OpenPDroid is a set of modifications to the Android framework and libraries which allows fine-tuning of the data which applications are able to retrieve about your device, your account, your messages, and more. Specifically, it is a Privacy service provider (using the PDroid 1.51 interface) forked from CollegeDev's PDroid 2.0, which is itself an extension of Syvat's PDroid.

WARNING: OpenPDroid is not compatible with ART for now. disable ART before flashing. enabling ART will cause the device to fail to boot. if you enabled ART and are unable to boot, flash official CyanogenMod temporarily to be able to fix (will cause privacy leaks). or if you have ADB access in android or recovery, you can disable ART by using setprop or editing a file.

note: OpenPDroid does not affect the recovery nor the kernel, you can use whatever you want.

CM11-M6 broke OpenPDroid patches, so Lanchon forked OpenPDroid to restore compatibility, fix several bugs and clean up the code. sources are here.

This started as my personal project..I was looking to start something that was exactly what I wanted on my nexus 7 instead of either a rom with a bunch of features you need a search to find (not that theres anything wrong with that, just not my cup of tea), or too light where i needed a module to get it (not that theres anything wrong with that either). It is very early in, but I and my team are trying to make this a enjoyable project and keep it updated as best we can regularly. Keep it friendly, or GTFO.....Thanks guys..

Hey guys I am trying to update my galaxy s3 to kitkat. I am running galaxy s3 at&t variant 747 rooted 4.1.1. I747UCDLK3 update to kitkat. I realized I need to update to 4.1.2 first before doing the 4.3 update. I can't seems to find files I need for 4.1.2. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thank you for your help.

[DEV][KERNEL][21 OCT] Convert EXT4 to F2FS [ALPHA]

This is somewhere between Alpha and Beta testing.
I thank frantisek.nesveda for his Agnostic-kernel - partition independent kernel flasher on which I base this. I also thank everyone he thanks. Additionally, I thank anyone who posted about F2FS and formatting partitions. I read a lot of threads and I’m sure I gleaned something from everything I read.

For now this has to be done after flashing your preferred firmware (ROM).

Copy the files to your sdcard where you typically put flash files. I recommend an external card, because this is the only way I do it and I have not tested the other way. Also, I have only tested this on PhilZ Touch 6.48.4 recovery. I would appreciate anyone testing on other recoveries.

Make a full back up of your ROM. I also recommend you have an Odin based recovery plan. During my trials I ended up with a blank screen and used Odin to get back.

Flash the zip file for what format you want to change. I include a testF2FS zip to confirm the formatting. For some reason it sometimes takes more than one try to format the partitions. Sometimes rebooting recovery helps before trying to confirm the formatting.

NOTE: Sometimes the phone reboots on its own while formatting. Be prepared to press the home and volume up buttons for two vibrations to get back to recovery. The first is the final power down and the second is the powering up. Remember to wait for the blue text in the upper left corner.

Then I use custom restore to get the data and/or the system from my backup. After this I flash Quantum kernel.

Then I flash GS3-F2FS-kernel-Fixer to adjust the boot image to support the new formats. After this I flash Quantum kernel. Then I reboot and enjoy.

As always, no one is responsible for what happens to your phone. Everyone does this on their own and at their own risk.

Please do NOT mirror these files.

What is Cannibal Open Touch?
Cannibal Open Touch is a custom recovery (like ClockworkMod or TWRP), created purely out of love for the platform and the desire to contribute something cool to the community. The name embodies everything that Cannibal Open Touch is. We take what we believe are the best features of popular recoveries like TWRP and ClockworkMod and, well, cannibalize them along with rolling out our own features.

  • On-device backup and restore
  • Backup and restore via ADB
  • Much much more planned!

  • During installation, the standard Android installing icon gets displayed instead of the custom dialog box.

Nandroid has been replaced!
Nandroid is in fact gone, and has been replaced with a much more robust backup solution. Backups can now be made either with ADB (the recommended way) or via the new Backup and Restore item in the main menu. Backups made via the built-in menu can be copied to a PC and restored via ADB, and backups made via ADB can likewise be copied to your device and restored using the Backup and Restore menu.

Cannibal Open Touch themes app:
We are currently seeking Alpha testers for an app that will let users download and choose themes without rebooting to recovery mode. Currently there are 20 slots open. If you wish to join please PM me. The only requirement is you must have a Google+ account and are willing to submit proper bug reports, should any arise.

Cannibal Open Touch Themes:
You can now make your own themes for Cannibal Open Touch! See the example themes (it's pretty self-explanatory). Themes must be installed in /sdcard/cot/themes/theme_name (or /data/media/cot/themes/theme_name) in order to work. Please feel free to submit pull requests to have your custom themes added to the theme repository. They will also be packaged and made available to download via the Cannibal Themes app (mentioned above)!

Here is a build I put together today of LiquidSmooth v4.0 (Android 5.0.1). I build unofficial builds for one of the S2 variants, and having the d2att S3, I figured I would build it for it too. And since it worked, figured I would just drop it here.

This build does not use the Material Dark theme that the official Liquid Lollipop uses it. I reverted it to Material Light just because I prefer it. Front and back camera will work to take pictures. Video will cause FC. Wifi, Mobile Data, etc are also working. As far as bugs, I'm sure there are some, but being early in the Lollipop era, it should be expected.

ABOUT THE KERNEL

The D2-Shift that I recommend to use with this comes from the awesome @rogersb11. It's built with Linaro GCC-4.9.1 and includes the faux sound mod (thanks to @faux123). When flashing the kernel, it will install Stweak kernel control app. HOWEVER Stweaks support is not complete yet. So use Trickster or whatever kernel control app you wish with it.

WELCOME TO CYANIDE L

ROM INFORMATION

Cyanide L is the brainchild of XDA member @rogersb11. Based on CyanogenMod, and packed full of features from the wonderful custom ROM teams we have all come to know and love. This ROM is just getting started and I will update frequently as things progress along into the beast we know this will be.

I (TheGeekyNimrod) will be your d2att device maintainer and working on the theming of the ROM as well. It is important to note, that I have built this specifically for d2att. I do not know if it will work for any other device, and cannot provide support for you if you have flashed it on another d2 variant. I may try in the future to add more variants, but for now, this is only built for d2att.

KERNEL INFORMATION

Cyanide L comes packaged with the Shift kernel, also built by @rogersb11. With the latest from CM, as well as his special touch, Shift has what it takes to get the job done. Note, that if you report bugs or issues with the ROM, I will not provide support if issues are related to using a different kernel with the ROM.
